In the quarter-final match against Great Britain, Amit Rohidas's stick inadvertently touched the opposition player, for which he was shown a red card. In an official statement issued by FIH, it has been told that Amit Rohidas has been banned for one match for violating the FIH code of conduct during India vs Great Britain match on August 4, which will be applicable in the semi-final of match number 35 Germany vs India. In the semi-finals, the Indian team will play with 15 players without Amit Rohidas.
According to the FIH code of conduct, if a player gets a red card in a match, then he is banned for one match. Due to this, he has to sit out of the next match of that tournament.
In fact, in the quarter-final match of India vs Britain on Sunday, Amit Rohidas collided with forward Will Callanan. Rohidas also tried to avoid the collision in the midfield, but the stick hit Callanan's face. The referee did not consider the incident serious at first, but after a video referral, he showed Amit Rohidas a red card.
