Panchayat in Telangana took the youth's fire test: Alleged affair with sister-in-law

A panchayat in Telangana forced a young man to appear for an ordeal. The young man was accused of having an affair with his cousin's wife. When the brother complained about this in the Panchayat, according to the tradition of the village, the Panchas took him for a fire test. On failing this, a penalty of Rs 11 lakh was imposed on him. Its video is also going viral.
The case pertains to Banjarapalli village in the Warangal district of Telangana. The viral video is being told on Tuesday. It is seen that a young man is circumambulating the burning coal. After circumambulation, he picked up the hot iron rod kept in the middle of the burning coal and threw it as soon as he lifted it.
According to the reports – the village panch was not satisfied with his ordeal. The judges forced the young man to admit his mistake. When the society asked him to deposit a penalty of Rs 11 lakh, the young man's wife lodged a police complaint against the punches.
Police said that a few months ago, the victim repeatedly pleaded with the Panchs, but they did not agree and declared him guilty. The police are investigating the case.
After the issue was not resolved for three months, the elders ordered the young man to undergo an ordeal. It was said in this that if he does not burn then it will be proved that he is innocent.
Actually, there is a tradition in that village. Where people believe that if a person is pious and speaks the truth, he will not be burnt by a hot iron. Although Gangadhar's hands did not burn during this, he was not proven innocent.
Here, his cousin who accused the young man said – the accused had touched the iron rod and his hand was burnt, but he is not agreeing. We are asking them to pay a penalty, then they are troubling us by complaining at the police station.
