Pakistan: Woman stoned to death on charges of adultery in Punjab province, sensation spread in the city

Many such news come from the Punjab province of Pakistan, which is heart-wrenching. Giving information about an incident on September 3 (Sunday), the police said that a woman was stoned to death on the charges of adultery. Police said that the incident took place on Friday in Rajanpur district of Punjab, about 500 kilometers from Lahore.

Police said the woman's husband, who is in his 20s, has accused the woman of adultery. On September 1 (Friday), the man, along with his two brothers, tied the woman to a tree and then killed her by pelting stones at her. Police said that before pelting stones, they also brutally tortured the woman. The woman belonged to the Alkani tribe of Rajanpur.

Police said that both the brothers are absconding after committing this gruesome crime. It is speculated that they are hiding in the border area between Punjab and Balochistan.

In Pakistan, women are mistreated in the name of respect. Sometimes they are given heart-wrenching punishment, and sometimes they are put to death. According to human rights activists, about 1 thousand women are killed every year in the name of honor in Pakistan.

It is widely believed in the country that the victims have brought shame and dishonor to their families by marrying or entering into relationships against their will. In most of the cases, family members are often behind such murders. Citing family honor, they kill their own sisters and daughters.
