Pakistan minister kidnapped by terrorists: 10 days ultimatum, sought the release of Tehreek-e-Taliban terrorists
Pakistan-occupied Gilgit-Baltistan minister and senior minister of Imran's party Abaid Ullah Baig was kidnapped by terrorists on Friday. He was released today after the agreement. Baig was on his way from Islamabad to Gilgit. During this, he was kidnapped by terrorists of Pakistan's radical organization Tehreek-e-Taliban.
According to Pakistan's news website Minute Mirror, two more people were abducted along with Abaid by Tehreek-e-Taliban terrorists. After this, on Saturday 8 October, he was released after the agreement. According to Pakistan's Geo TV, Baig has reached his home safely. Abaid Ullah Baig had won from Hunza in Gilgit-Baltistan on the ticket of Imran's party Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
In return for Abaid, Tehreek-e-Taliban commander Hameed demanded the release of six terrorists, including terrorist Habib ur Rehman. For this, Hameed has given a 10-day ultimatum to the Gilgit-Baltistan government. Apart from this, Tehreek-e-Taliban also demanded a ban on the sports activities of girls in the Gilgit-Baltistan province and the implementation of Islamic law.
Former Gilgit-Baltistan government spokesman Faizulla Faraq said - During Baig's detention, he had spoken to Abaid Ullah Baig and talks were on for his release.
According to Pakistan's newspaper The Dawn, Habib ur Rehman is one of the most wanted terrorists in Gilgit-Baltistan. Habib had killed 10 foreigners at Nanga Parbat in 2013 disguised as police. According to media reports, Tehreek-e-Taliban has been demanding the release of its comrades for a long time. There are many such people who have committed terrorist acts in Gilgit-Baltistan. However, it is not yet clear whether the demands of the terrorists were met or not.
