Pakistan demands military funding from America

Pakistan has demanded America resume their military funding. Which was closed by former US President Donald Trump during his tenure. On Thursday, a Pakistani diplomat Masood Khan demanded this in a seminar held in Washington.
He said, 'It is necessary that America resumes its military funding and arms sales to Pakistan.' In response, US official Elizabeth Horst, who was present at the seminar, asked Pakistan to work with the IMF to overcome its economic crisis.
On the demand of restarting military funding, America has asked Pakistan to accept the tough conditions of the IMF. Elizabeth said, 'In return for the loan, the changes that the IMF wants Pakistan to make in the economy are very difficult. However, this is necessary to bring the country back on track and avoid further debt.
At the same time, during this seminar, Pakistan's decision to buy oil from Russia was questioned. In response, Ambassador Khan said that the decision to buy oil from Russia was taken only after holding talks with the US.
According to reports, the relations between the US and Pakistan are going through ups and downs after the withdrawal of its troops from Afghanistan and increasing proximity to China.
In 2018, former US President Donald Trump cancelled military funding of $300 million i.e. 24 thousand crores given to Pakistan. Trump had alleged that Pakistan was not taking proper steps to eliminate terrorists from the Afghan border. At the same time, Trump's administration had claimed that instead of eliminating terrorists, Pakistan was giving them shelter.
