Ordered mobile from Flipkart, was shocked as soon as he opened the delivery packet…then his luck shone like this

A man from Chandigarh had ordered a mobile from Flipkart. As soon as the packet was opened by the delivery boy of Flipkart, the person was in a state of shock. Actually, there was a dummy phone inside the packet. Sumit Syal, who lives in the Punjab University area of ​​Chandigarh, complained about this to Flipkart. But despite the complaint, Flipkart gave no answer to it. Flipkart clearly denied its liability. After this, Sumit Syal had no choice other than to go to court. Sumit filed a petition in the District Consumer Court, Chandigarh.

The court has ordered Flipkart to pay compensation of Rs 10,000 while allowing the petition of Sumit Syal. The order also orders to return the price of the mobile phone of Rs 29,890 along with 9 percent annual interest. In his complaint before the commission, Sumit Syal stated that on September 25, 2019, he ordered a mobile phone online from Flipkart and paid Rs. 29,890 against the same. He was hugely disappointed when upon opening the parcel, he found a dummy mobile phone inside the packet. A photo of the said dummy phone was taken by him and a complaint was forwarded to Flipkart, but the problem remained unresolved.

On the other hand, Flipkart and Ekart Logistics claimed through their lawyer that Sumit Syal's complaint was not worth considering. Flipkart said that it is an e-commerce platform. Flipkart cannot be held accountable for any such discrepancy. These third parties act as mediators to facilitate sales transactions between sellers and customers.
