OpenAI is testing a lifesaver new tool for Slack and Google Drive

OpenAI has announced the upcoming release of a new feature called ChatGPT Connectors, which would make the chatbot integrate with other platforms. According to the report, the new feature would be available to ChatGPT Teams subscribers and would include Google Drive and Slack as their primary pairing partners. The software would connect ChatGPT with the internal data of the platform and answer the queries of the users based on the same data.

According to a TechCrunch report, OpenAI is going to start beta testing of this new feature soon. ChatGPT Connectors will be an enterprise tool that connects to third-party databases and communication platforms, retrieves information from there and answers users' questions.

According to the report, initially it will work with Google Drive and Slack and later it can be expanded to Microsoft SharePoint and Box. This feature will be able to access text data, including files, presentations, spreadsheets and conversations from Slack.

This feature will be based on the GPT-4o AI model, which will be developed by combining it with the "internal knowledge" of the connected platform. Once this feature is activated in a ChatGPT Teams Workspace, all users there will be able to take advantage of it.
