Only three players from India have won more than one medal in Olympic history. Manu Bhaker's name strikes in this list on Tuesday. All three players belong to different games. Shooter Manu Bhaker has won medals twice in the Paris Olympics. She teamed up with Sarabjot Singh and won the bronze medal in the 10m air pistol mixed event.

Star Indian badminton player PV Sindhu won a silver medal in the ladies' singles event at the Rio Olympics 2016. Later, she went on to win a bronze medal in Ladies' Singles at the Tokyo Olympics. This time the Paris Olympics will present PV Sindhu with a shot at a hat-trick of Olympic medals. The first Indian Olympian was Sushil Kumar, who won a bronze medal in wrestling in the 66 kg weight category—freestyle wrestling at the Beijing Olympics 2008. However, Sushil Kumar lost in the first round and later won this medal through the repechage round. On the brighter side, PV Sindhu's record is clean. She did not have that sort of chance of coming back after losing in the first round.

After this, Sushil Kumar won the silver medal in the London Olympics in 2012 and became the first Indian to win two medals in the Olympics after independence. Manu Bhaker, who is included in this list, has both the medals bronze and she lags behind PV Sindhu and Sushil Kumar in this matter. Apart from this, the other two players included in this list won these medals in individual events. Manu Bhaker has won one medal in the individual event and the other in the mixed event.

Apart from the color of the medal, Manu Bhaker has other special achievements. She has become the first Indian athlete to win two medals in the same Olympics. She is also the first Indian female shooter to win a medal in the Olympics. Manu Bhaker also has a chance to create a new record by winning another medal in the 25m air rifle at the Paris Olympics.
