Paris Olympics 2024: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday announced an incentive of Rs 15 lakh each to javelin thrower Kishore Jena and hockey star Amit Rohidas from the state representing in the Paris Olympics.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday announced an incentive of Rs 15 lakh each for two young players from the state representing in the Paris Olympics. CM Majhi has congratulated Javelin thrower Kishore Jena and Hockey star Amit Rohidas for representing the Country in the Paris Olympics. He extended best wishes to them and stated that this incentive would motivate and encourage them to do their best capability in bringing glory to the country.

He said that both Jena and Rohidas have made their native place as well as the state proud by getting qualified to participate in the Olympics. He added that the determination, hard work, and dedication of these two players will definitely inspire the young and budding talents in Odisha.

He said there is no dearth of sports personalities in the state. He said the state government was committed to providing all necessary infrastructure and financial support at the grassroots level to help sportspersons develop holistically and realize their dreams.
