Now you will be able to share status from desktop as well, WhatsApp is working on this new feature

Meta's famous messaging app i.e. WhatsApp has brought a new feature for its customers, with the help of which you can easily update your WhatsApp status from the desktop itself.

WhatsApp is bringing a new feature for its Mac users so that they will be able to share status updates directly from their desktops. Let us tell you that this feature has recently been rolled out for Android devices. Let's know about it.

WhatsApp working on new feature:

  • WhatsApp now allows users to share images, videos, GIFs, text, and voice messages via status updates from any linked device.
  • Now, the instant messaging platform is making this feature available to Mac users. Beta testers can now try out the new feature in WhatsApp for Mac version 24.11.73.
  • This allows them to share status updates directly from the Status tab on their Mac.

How the feature works:

  • Users can go to the Status Updates tab and share text or photo statuses with their contacts, just like they do on the mobile application.
  • Previously, the Mac app only allowed users to view status updates; there was no option to post them.
  • This new feature allows users to manage their status updates directly from their desktop, making it more convenient for those who work primarily on computers.
  • Users will no longer need to switch between devices, which will improve their overall experience. Aside from that, you can send status updates without turning on your mobile device or connecting to the internet.
  • The feature is currently available to some beta testers and is expected to be rolled out to more users in the coming days.
