Currently, a channel creator gets the facility to send links, videos, and photos through WhatsApp channel. Channel creators cannot send voice messages to connect with followers in their channels.

With the new update, channel creators will see a microphone icon in their channel, just like WhatsApp normal chat. By tapping on this microphone icon, the creator will be able to send a new message or reply message to his followers in his own voice.

The new feature of WhatsApp has been seen in the Android beta update. Android beta users of the app can use this feature with the latest update (WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.23.2 update). This feature can be seen for other users of WhatsApp in the coming days.
