Now watching reels will be more fun as Instagram has a TikTok feature

It is not an offense in today's time to copy someone's creativity. Here we are not supporting the violation of the Copyright Act, but are saying so in view of the trend. Now Instagram has silently introduced a new feature, allowing users to now double (2x) the playback speed of Reels. The feature is already available in TikTok. The maximum length of Reels was increased to three minutes earlier this year. Now, the new feature provides the facility to watch long videos in a rush.

To watch any Reel at 2x speed, hold down the left or right edge of the screen. The center of the screen will still pause the video when tapped. While a Reel is playing at 2x speed, "2x Speed" will appear at the bottom of the screen.

In fact, after the length of Reels increased, it became necessary to give the option to watch long videos quickly, as users have already gotten used to it. This feature will help strengthen Instagram as a short-form video platform.

TikTok was already offering this feature, allowing users to watch videos faster. After the possible ban of TikTok in the US, Instagram is focusing on promoting short-form video content. Instagram is also planning to launch a separate "Reels app", which has been named "Project Ray".
