Now users will be able to remove pre-installed apps from smartphones

Keeping in mind the security of the people, the Government of India is going to take strict steps against the companies making mobiles. Under this, now companies will have to give the option to uninstall the pre-installed app on mobile. Apart from this, screening of major updates in the operating system will also be done.
According to a Reuters report, this decision of the government will affect companies like Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo and Apple. Smartphones of these companies have pre-installed apps, which users are unable to uninstall from their phones.
However, not much information has been revealed about the new security rule at the moment, but it is said that this may affect the launch of the new smartphone. Although India is the second-largest smartphone market in the world. If someone takes such a tough decision, it will not be easy for companies to ignore it.
According to a Reuters report, the IT ministry is concerned about the espionage and misuse of user data. A senior official told on the condition of anonymity that at present the government is considering the rules. Pre-installed apps can be weak security points. We do not want any foreign power including China to take advantage of this. This is a matter of national security.
