Actually, while giving information about this, Instagram head (Adam Mosseri) himself has said that a new option has been introduced for the users in the new app Threads. With this option, Threads users can delete their accounts.
By deleting the Threads account, its effect will not be visible on the Instagram account. This new option in the Threads app will be visible to both iOS and Android users.
How to delete a threads account:
- To delete a Threads account, the user must first go to Account Settings.
- Here, after clicking on Account, you will need to click on Delete or Deactivate Profile.
After deactivating the profile, the user can join the account again. But if the account is deleted, the user's profile and all the posts will be deleted by Meta. However, in both these situations, it will not affect the user's Instagram account.
