For those who would like to celebrate a birthday or wedding with a large group of friends but find cooking difficult, there's no need to worry. The first Large Order Fleet was unveiled by food delivery platform Zomato on Tuesday. For communal gatherings such as parties, it can feed up to fifty people at once.
Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal gave information about its first large fleet on social media platform X. He said that this fleet will have all-electric vehicles. It will usually deliver only large orders. Earlier such orders were fulfilled through regular fleet delivery partners. The customer ordering food in this manner faced some inconvenience.
Deepinder Goyal wrote on X, “Today we are extremely happy to introduce India's first large order fleet. It aims to fulfil your large order (group/party/event) without any hassle. It will be an all-electric fleet, which can cater to 50 people. Designed to deliver, these new vehicles will eliminate the problems our customers used to face while placing large orders.”
Zomato will now add many more features to its large order fleet. Company founder Deepinder Goyal said that important things like a cooling compartment and hot box along with temperature control will be added to this fleet. This means that if a customer orders hot or cold things, he will get them either hot or cold. Talking about Zomato shares, it closed 0.85 per cent lower at Rs 186.70 on Tuesday (April 16).
