Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah visited the Forward Security Post (FOB) the next day to appeal to the Naxalites to surrender to boost the morale of the security force personnel. The security post was established this year in Gundam, Bijapur, where Shah reached, Naxalites used to take training till last year. The Naxalites had built a memorial for their martyrs here, at the place where the tricolor now flies.

In Gundam, Amit Shah met the local villagers and also inspected the school and the public distribution system shop. Shah inquired from the villagers about the availability of the government's public welfare schemes. Later, during a meeting with the security force personnel, Shah asked them to make efforts to win the hearts of the local villagers along with operations against the Naxalites.

Shah said that it is necessary to take the harshest action against armed Naxalites, but it is equally important that no one from the villagers becomes a Naxalite in the future. Shah told the soldiers that they should take out time to help the children in their studies and use the dispensary available in the camp for the treatment of the villagers as well as make the local people aware of the public welfare schemes of the government.

Before going to Gundam, Amit Shah met the families of the soldiers and common people who lost their lives in the violence of Naxalites. During the meeting, while reiterating the commitment to completely ending the Naxalite problem before March 31, 2026, Shah said after that not even a drop of blood would be shed on Maa Danteshwari land in the name of Naxalism.

Amit Shah said that they welcome those who would surrender themselves. The arresting of those who refuse to give up the path of violence, and unishing the Naxalites who are hell-bent on killing people, the Chhattisgarh government is working on these three fronts. It is noteworthy that on Sunday, Amit Shah had appealed from Jagdalpur to the Naxalites to leave violence and come into the mainstream. By meeting the surrendered Naxalites, Shah had made it clear that he had assured support at every difficulty of the government to Naxalites who gave up weapons.
