North Korea fired ballistic missile again: Tested in the Sea of Japan, threatened South Korea on military drill with US
North Korea has fired a ballistic missile from its East Coast toward the sea. South Korea's Defense Minister Lee-Jong-sup has claimed missile fire toward the Sea of Japan. Japan's Coast Guard has also confirmed this. However, what was this missile and how far it went, no information has been received yet.
Earlier on Friday, the Foreign Minister of North Korea had threatened to take strict measures against South Korea while announcing the military exercise. He accused the US and South Korea of disturbing the peace of the region by planning 20 military drills this year.
At the same time, next week, America and South Korea are going to do tabletop exercises in Washington regarding military exercises and strategy during emergencies. In this exercise to be held on February 23, discussions will be held between the two countries regarding the use of nuclear weapons and crisis management during possible threats.
In the midst of the nuclear threat from North Korea, the two countries will also talk about sharing information as well as increasing America's involvement in the region. Along with this, the military forces of both countries will also participate in joint field exercises in March.
North Korea has tested several missiles along with passing a bill declaring itself a nuclear state. Apart from this, on February 9, the country's biggest military parade was organized on the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the army in the country. About 1 dozen Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs) were displayed in the capital Pyongyang. The parade started at Kim Il Sung Square in Pyongyang. During this, dictator Kim Jong was seen with his wife and daughter.
