No need to worry about backup now, now photos will be uploaded on Google Photos automatically
Google Photos: Once you have set it up, this feature will show the selected folder in the "Folder backup" pop-up window. The size of the backup and the number of uploaded files will be shown in the window. If you want, you can click on the menu button with three dots next to the selected folder to delete it.
Google Photos has amazing news for Android users using Google Photos. With the new update of Google Photos released by Google, you don't need to take a backup. Earlier, this feature was available for the mobile version now it's come up for the web version.
While the mobile app for Google Photos already enjoys the auto-backup facility, it isn't yet happening on the web. However, once the new update actually comes into effect, photos from your computer will now start automatically backing up to Google Photos. Actually, not just the photos, but once the new update is there, the entire folder will be automatically backed up.
With the web version of Google Photos, you used to have to manually select and upload images from your computer for backing up to the cloud. That's now not a pain. You can set automatic folder backups via going to photos.google.com and finding the new option in the upload menu labeled "Back up folders.". You will then be prompted to choose a folder and allow permission to see the files within that folder every time you access the page.
This feature will show the selected folders in a pop-up window labeled "Folder backup" after it has been set up. The number count of the size of the backup and the number of files uploaded will be viewed on the opened window. You can also click the three-dot menu button next to the selected folder to delete it.
But for this feature to work, you'll need to visit the Google Photos website from time to time to back up folders. That's not that convenient compared with the background backup of Google Drive, but at least it saves you from having to manually upload images from the computer.
Many cool features are being integrated into Google Photos recently. It's been a long time that I like the option to differentiate AI-generated images from real ones that Google has been working on, and this got integrated. Secondly, Google Photos is working on adding a feature entitled "Timeline" instead of "Memories", which is quite appealing.
