With this, Nikhat has reached the final of the World Boxing Championship for the second consecutive year. Nikhat won the gold medal in the year 2022 World Boxing Championship.
Earlier, Commonwealth Games champion Neetu Ghanghas (48 kg) also reached the final of the World Women's Boxing Championship. The 22-year-old Neetu from Haryana defeated defending Asian champion and last year's World Championship silver medalist Alua Balkibekova of Kazakhstan in the semi-finals.

Neetu played with full aggression and rained punches on the opponent. Earlier on Wednesday, 22-year-old Neetu of Haryana defeated Japan's Madoka Wada on the basis of RSC (stoppage of the match by the referee) in the quarterfinals.
