Pakistan plotting to revive LTTE: NIA arrested 9 people, resorting to Tamil nationalism
Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI wants to revive the terrorist organization LTTE again in Tamil Nadu. A website named The Island Online has revealed this. According to the website, a group is being operated from the Pakistan side in India and Sri Lanka. Who is supplying drugs and weapons to LTTE?
After receiving such information, the National Investigation Agency ie NIA has also arrested 9 people with drugs and weapons. According to the NIA, the drug mafia of Sri Lanka, controlled by two people named Gunasekharan and Pushparaja, is in contact with a Pakistani drugs and arms supplier named Haji Salim.
An Intelligence Bureau official told that in February also a conspiracy was hatched to revive the LTTE by linking it with Tamil nationalism. For this, rural areas were being targeted. Which was foiled and many people were arrested. It was revealed in the investigation that these operatives associated with Europe were trying to withdraw money to fund LTTE.
According to the official, these people were in touch with several NGOs through whom they wanted to conduct seminars and webinars on Tamil nationalism. This came to light when a Sri Lankan citizen Mary Francisca was arrested at Chennai airport.
This is not the first time that Pakistan has tried to spread terror by keeping LTTE alive in South India. Even before this, in the year 2014, NIA had busted a gang which was being controlled by Pakistan's High Commission in Colombo itself. The High Commission was supervising them for attacks in many places.
LTTE started raising its head in Sri Lanka in the 70s. The LTTE was an organization agitating for an independent Tamil nation separate from Sri Lanka. Slowly the movement of LTTE was becoming fierce and violent due to its demand.
