On Saturday, the NIA conducted raids in five states at the same time, targeting the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed. During raids in 26 locations across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, and Assam, the investigating agency apprehended Sheikh Sultan Salah Uddin Ayubi alias Ayubi and detained several other suspects for further questioning.

Many objectionable documents, pamphlets, electronic devices, and magazines were seized during the search. The NIA charges these Jaish-e-Mohammed-linked people with radicalizing the youth and running recruitment campaigns for it. A team of NIA raided a madrasa at Mustafabad in Delhi and detained one suspect named Asad from there.

NIA and ATS together have taken action in Uttar Pradesh and picked up two Jaish-associated people from Meerut and Saharanpur. The NIA team interrogated 22-year-old Mahkar in the Sarurpur police station area of Meerut at seven in the morning. The young man works as a cleaner in the mosque. Mahkar was taken along with the team.

It is alleged that through internet media, 'Mahkar was giving anti-national information to Jaish by creating online groups. His relatives say that someone has hacked his Instagram account. The NIA team reached Deoband with UP ATS at around 3:30 pm on Friday night. From here Nadeem of Katihar (Bihar) was picked up.

The team also took his daughter and wife along with them but freed them at the ATS center in Deoband after interrogating them. The team took Nadeem along with them. Nadeem was a computer operator in a bookstore in Deoband. He pursued his studies from a madrasa in the town itself. According to sources, Nadeem used to provide funds to the terrorist group.

According to the Katihar correspondent, Nadeem, a resident of Kamra Tola village, comes from a low-income family. He went to Saharanpur six years ago for madrasa education. He returned to his home two years ago, married here, and traveled to Saharanpur with his wife. His 72-year-old mother, Gulab Jaan, lives at the ancestral home and is currently ill. Nadeem's father, Shamshul, passed away five years ago. He used to work as a laborer. Nadeem's two brothers reside in Mumbai with their families.
