Three new highways that will facilitate easy travel between Jaipur and Ajmer will be unveiled by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) by the end of April.

Ajmer Motorway, also called National Highway 8, is also planned to open four flyovers by June of this year along its Jaipur-Kishangarh section.

"The construction of three flyovers at Bandersindhari, Mahalla and Sawari intersections is almost complete. We hope to open them by the end of this month," announced Ajay Arya, project director of NHAI. According to media reports, progress is also being made on five more flyovers at Bagru, Narsinghpura, Gadota, Mokhapura and Padasoli, which are expected to be completed in the next two months.

Arya further said, "We are working tirelessly to complete the Kamla Nehru Nagar intersection to Ajmer. These five flyovers will likely become operational between late June and mid-July." NHAI officials claim that once all the nine flyovers are operational, the travel time between Ajmer and Jaipur will be significantly reduced. Which will allow a two-hour journey between 200 feet bypass crossing and Ajmer.

“These projects were initiated two years ago, with construction starting in January 2023. However, there was a temporary halt in construction due to traffic congestion, which delayed the completion of the work,” another NHAI official said.

Along with this, NHAI is planning to start the construction of another flyover at the Bhankhota intersection. "Meanwhile, we will start construction of cloverleaf at Mahapura to facilitate entry and exit of traffic from this expressway to the Southern Ring Road," the official elaborated.
