NHAI bans agency after serious action is taken in relation to driver assault and misbehaviour at a Rajasthani toll plaza

A case of misbehavior and assault with drivers at the toll plaza in Rajasthan led to the NHAI banning M/s Riddhi Siddhi Associates, the toll operating agency, for a period of three months. This incident occurred at the Sirmandi toll plaza in the Rajasthani region of Amritsar-Jamnagar at the beginning of this month. Employees of the toll agency had mistreated the drivers.

Because the toll agency violated the standard operating procedure established for toll operators, the NHAI has taken this action against it. Following the matter's public disclosure, NHAI contacted the agency to request a response and conducted an internal investigation. However, the agency was banned subsequent to the agency's failure to provide a satisfactory response.

After receiving continuous complaints of arbitrariness by the toll staff towards the drivers, the Road Transport Ministry has set some conduct guidelines for the contractors and all the employees working under them, which include decent and dignified behavior on their part. Is the most prominent. NHAI has said that all cases of its violation will be dealt with strictly against the responsible employees.
