New update received regarding India launch of Hyundai Inster EV, know when it is entering
Auto company Hyundai is working on a new electric car these days. It is being brought to compete with Tata Punch EV. There will be a special focus on safety features in this. The interior of the upcoming EV will also be very special. This vehicle can enter the Indian market in the year 2026. It has been recently introduced globally.
Much focus is being laid by the auto companies on the electric segment. The craze for electric vehicles is increasing among people continuously. Given this, domestic and foreign companies are trying to bring EVs into the affordable segment.
Now, South Korean carmaker Hyundai also plans to roll out a new electric vehicle. It's likely to hit the market in the second half of 2026. Hyundai Inster will be introduced under the affordable segment to provide competition to Tata Punch EV.
They are going to introduce Hyundai Inster. The company has also passed some information related to it before launching. It is designed for running on limited parking space. Hyundai revealed that this compact SUV would arrive with two battery variants. This includes a standard model equipped with a 42 kWh battery and an extended range version with a 49 kWh battery.
The standard model provides 95 bhp, while the Long Range provides 113 bhp. Both have a torque of 147 Nm. With a 120 kW DC charger, the charge can be increased from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes. It comes with an 11 kW on-board charger as standard.
Safety features will be taken special care of in this car. It has two 10.25-inch displays. One works for an infotainment system, while another one is an instrument cluster. Furthermore, there will be a navigation system and wireless charging support in the Inster. Other than this, it features 64-color LED ambient lighting, a one-touch sunroof, and Hyundai Digital Key 2 Touch (NFC) accessibility.
Hyundai has clarified that the compact SUV will come with Advanced Driver Assistance System. It will get features like Surround View Monitor, Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist Rear, Blind-Spot View Monitor, and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 1.5.
Other features it has fitted include LKA, Lane Following Assist, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist. Hyundai has recently rolled out its small electric car, Inster EV, in the global market. Now, there are reports that preparations have also started for its India launch. It can be launched in the Indian market by the end of 2026. This vehicle will compete with the Tata Punch EV.
