2025 Tata Tigor facelift has been launched. It will be showcased at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025. The sub-compact sedan market has recently updated two of its most popular models. They are the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire and the 2024 Honda Amaze. This makes the other two popular models in the segment, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor look a bit old. The Aura was updated in 2023, while the Tigor was last updated in 2020. Given the increasing competition in the segment, Tata Motors has updated the Tata Tigor.
Minor cosmetic changes and still retaining the basic shape and appearance are what we see on this 2025 Tata Tigor. First, there are minor design changes on the front grille and bumper. The rear bumper has been redesigned as well but the 15-inch alloy wheels have remained the same and so has the coupe-like design language.
Although the design is still almost the same as that of the old model, the feature list of the 2025 Tata Tigor has completely changed. To begin with, the updated Tata subcompact sedan gets a smart steering wheel featuring illumination along with a fully digital instrument cluster starting from the base model. The base XE trim level now also gets new fabric seats, ISOFIX, rear parking sensors, and LED tail lights.
Meanwhile, the new top-line Tata Tigor XZ Plus Lux gets a 10.25-inch floating infotainment system with wireless app CarPlay and Android Auto, 360-degree camera, shark fin antenna, automatic temperature control, leather steering wheel, rain-sensing wipers, and cruise control, among other features.
Other than cosmetic and feature updates, Tata hasn't touched the mechanical of the Tigor. Powering the Tata Tigor is a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. The engine comes with either a five-speed manual transmission or an automated manual transmission. The said engine in the petrol variant develops 85 bhp and 113 Nm of torque. Whereas, in the CNG variant, it develops 72 bhp and 95 Nm of torque.
Along with the changes made to the Tigor, Tata has also revised the prices and variants. The old base variant XE of the Tigor has now been axed. Now the 2025 Tata Tigor range starts with the XM variant which is priced at Rs 6 lakh ex-showroom. Interestingly, the previous XM variant was priced at Rs 6.60 lakh. The 2025 Tata Tigor also sees the introduction of a new top-end variant XZ plus Lux, priced at Rs 8.50 lakh. Meanwhile, the XZ Plus has now been priced at Rs 7.90 lakh that is Rs 10,000 dearer than the earlier model.
Meanwhile, the company has added two new trim levels in the CNG lineup. The entry-level XM is replaced by a new XT trim priced at Rs 7.70 lakh (ex-showroom). The new top-line XZ Plus Lux has been priced at Rs 9.50 lakh and the XZ Plus at Rs 8.90 lakh.
