the YouTube Comments Pause feature is being introduced on YouTube. As can be understood from the name itself, with the help of the feature the comments coming on the video can be paused i.e. stopped.
It is known that before this feature, creators had the option to keep comments completely disabled. After the new feature, the need to turn off comments completely will end. Apart from this, creators also get the facility to hold the comment before it is published.
With the YouTube Comments Pause setting enabled, creators will have complete control over comments. Users watching the video will not be able to make new comments even if they want to. However, by enabling this setting, previous comments will be visible.
Creators will have to come to the video-level comments settings. After this, the option of Pause can be selected from here. With this setting enabled, viewers will get a notification that comments are paused.
With the new update, YouTube creators will see On, Pause and Off options in comment settings. This option to pause comments will be available to creators on the watch page of the app, YouTube Studio on desktop and mobile.
