NEET UG re-exam results are out: NEET is a commercial exam says Rahul Gandhi
The NEET UG re-exam, the National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results of the National Eligibility Test conducted on June 23, 2024. The re-test was conducted for 1563 candidates; 813 appeared for the exam. Students can see the result on the official website. The re-test was conducted for the students who had been granted grace marks because of the claimed loss of exam time.
The re-test took place in the same six cities at different centers. The 67 students who earlier scored a perfect score of 720 were under controversy. In the session of Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition, quoted, 'NEET is not a professional exam but a commercial one that has been designed for the rich and not for meritorious people'. He further highlighted that there have been 70 paper leaks in the last seven years, and NEET students spend years and years preparing for their exams.
On the paper leak scam, the investigation took place in five states, including Bihar, Rajasthan, and Gujrat. The opposition members on Monday demanded a separate one-day discussion on the NEET paper leak. Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi stated the irregularities of NEET and ignorance. Among the 67 students who secured full marks earlier, no students scored full marks in the re-test.
