Sunita Williams, an India-origin astronaut who has been stuck in space for several months. The other unlucky fellow is Butch Wilmore. Now NASA has given the reason for the delay in their return. One reason for the delay in the return of both is also related to the former astronaut of Indian origin.

In fact, in 2003, Indian-origin astronaut Kalpana Chawla fell prey to an accident while returning from space to Earth. Soon after, the space shuttle carrying Kalpana started coming towards the Earth; it became a ball of fire. There were six more astronauts aboard this space shuttle.

An identical accident hit the headlines previously when, on 26 January 1986, the Space Shuttle 'Challenger' exploded: 14 astronauts lost their lives in that. Now these two accidents are on NASA's mind. That is why NASA is not in a hurry to bring Sunita Williams back.

Referring to the two accidents, NASA Chief Bill Nelson said that's the reason why we're bringing back the Boeing Starliner empty. He said earlier, that NASA made the mistake of not listening to the juniors and ignoring the danger, but now it isn't so. Now, everybody is listened to. That is why it has now been decided to bring Sunita back in February 2025.

Now, the return date of the Starline capsule carrying Sunita Williams into space has come out. NASA and Boeing have now decided that Starline will separate from the space station on the night of 6th September. On September 7, at approximately 10 am, it will land at White Sands Space Harbor in New Mexico.
