Musk could not pay office rent in San Francisco: Building owner filed suit, gave warning on December 16
Twitter has been sued for non-payment of rent for Twitter's office building in San Francisco. According to media reports, the building owner said that he had warned Musk on December 16 that the lease on the 30th floor of the Hartford building was expiring in five days, and if the rent was not paid, he would be declared default. But it was not taken seriously and he filed a petition in the State Court of San Francisco on Thursday.
However, till now no response has come from Twitter in this matter.
Twitter, the company of the world's second richest man Elon Musk, has not even paid the rent of other offices around the world. The owners of the property have not received rent since Musk's takeover of Twitter.
The building owners are asking Twitter to vacate the property, but there is no response from the company. In some cases, landlords are simply asking Twitter to vacate the property, as per the lease agreement. They are not even demanding the outstanding rent from Twitter.
