Team India, the reigning T20 World Cup champions, will hold a huge roadshow (Team India Victory Parade) in Mumbai this evening. A massive crowd will gather at Vijay Parade to see the players who realized the dream of bringing the World Cup back after a decade. Following their visit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, the Indian cricket team will fly directly to Mumbai.

Mumbai Police has made extensive security measures for the Indian team's Victory Parade. According to a senior police officer, the Vijay procession will travel from Nariman Point to Wankhede Stadium between 5 and 7 p.m. A considerable crowd will gather at this moment. Therefore, the police are taking extreme caution to avoid any untoward incident. Tight security arrangements have been made between Nariman Point and Wankhede Stadium.

On the Vijay Yatra of the Indian cricket team in Mumbai today, Mumbai Police DCP Zone 1 Praveen Munde said that a Vijay Yatra will be taken out in an open bus on Marine Drive between Nariman Point and Wankhede Stadium from 5 to 7 pm. Fans who want to join the Vijay Yatra of the Indian team should arrive before 4:30 pm and not gather on the road, gather towards the promenade. The main event will be held at Wankhede Stadium at 7 pm. If fans want to join it, reach the stadium before 6 pm and sit in their seats. Try to use public transport to avoid traffic jams.

On Saturday, the Indian team gave the country its second T20 World Cup title. However due to storm Beryl, the Indian team could not return from Barbados. On Thursday morning, the Indian cricket team returned home from Barbados by a special plane.

Today the Indian team will do a roadshow in an open bus in South Mumbai and there will be a felicitation ceremony at the Wankhede Stadium. During this, the players will be felicitated with prize money of Rs 125 crore. Earlier in 2013, Team India won the Champions Trophy under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
