Sharing his words, he took to his official Instagram handle and posted a video in which, he said, “I want to clear up the misunderstanding that I will be reprising the role of Shaktimaan”. This is completely incorrect. I never claimed that. I want to tell in detail who the next Shaktimaan could be.”

Confirming that he would not be doing the same, Khanna further went on to add that the channel had not made any official announcement regarding choosing a new face for the iconic part of Shaktimaan. On Ranveer Singh too, he said that no decision has been taken on that front as well. He said the search for the perfect actor to continue carrying on the Shaktimaan legacy is still on and he is looking for someone who understands the spirit of the character and can stand up to an audience expectation.

Mukesh Khanna has requested fans to not believe rumors and wait for an official announcement. “Shaktimaan” shouldn’t be seen only as a superhero; it is a powerful ideology, and we should show it the way it is,” he said.
