Most expensive electric scooter will be launched in India; BMW CE-04 will cost around Rs 20 lakh

BMW Motorrad India will soon be launching its electric scooter 'CE-04' in India. The company recently showcased the electric scooter 'CE-04' at one of its events. BMW launched its S-1000 RR at the same event at an initial price of Rs 20.25 lakh (ex-showroom price). The BMW CE-04 is said to be the company's first fully electric offering and will become the costliest electric scooter in the Indian market when launched.
BMW is yet to announce the launch timeline of its first electric scooter for the Indian market. However, it is expected to be launched in India in 2023. The BMW CE-04 is likely to be priced around Rs 20 lakh, ex-showroom, making it one of the costliest electric two-wheelers on sale in India.
BMW's first electric scooter packs an 8.9 kWh air-cooled lithium-ion battery pack. As per the WLTP test cycle, the CE-04 will deliver a riding range of 129 km on a single charge. The CE-04 can be charged from 0 to 100% in 4 hours and 20 minutes using a 2.3 kW charger. However, the 6.9 kW fast charger can fully charge the electric scooter in 1 hour and 40 minutes.
The CE-04 is a funky electric scooter in terms of design. Up front, the scooter gets a large all-LED headlamp with a small visor. The side profile of the scooter features a long single-piece seat, a large footrest and exposed body panels. This electric scooter is feature-loaded and gets a 10.25-inch TFT display along with many features like Bluetooth connectivity, traction control, and multiple riding modes.
