The border security forces of India and Mongolia will receive special training from each other. While 'Mongolia' will give training to BSF in the hills, the Border Security Force will give training in 'Special Task Force' to the foreign nation as well. On Friday, ten Director General level talks between both nations' border guard forces - India's Border Security Force (BSF) and Mongolia's Border Guard Force (GABP - General Authority for Border Protection) ongoing since February 2, concluded at 'BSF' headquarters in New Delhi. India and Mongolia have centuries-old traditional, cultural, and civilizational relations with each other. Both countries view each other as 'spiritual neighbours'. In contemporary times, values such as democracy, freedom, and market economy bind both countries together.
The Indian delegation was led by Daljit Singh Chaudhary, Director General Border Security Force, while the Mongolian delegation was led by Major General Lukhvasuren, Chief of GABP and Commander of Border Troops. During the talks, several points were discussed for better coordination and cooperation between the Border Security Force and GABP Mongolia. GABP Mongolia will organize training and joint exercises in mountainous areas for middle-rank officers of the Border Security Force. Special trainers of the Border Security Force will provide training to GABP personnel in the field of 'Special Task Force'.
There will be mutual cooperation between the forces of the two countries in areas of mutual interest. They will cooperate with each other in exercising effective control over the detection and prevention of crimes through mutual exchange of technical resources. Agreement was reached on the need to exchange best practices in the field of border security and special initiatives will be taken in the areas of cooperation, especially in the security of land border ports, inspection of incoming vehicles, and assistance in capacity building of both forces and use of technology in border management. According to the BSF, this dialogue was concluded in a very cordial atmosphere and friendly attitude. During the talks, it was also decided that the next Director General level talks between the two forces will be held in Mongolia in September 2025.
