Meta launches Llama-3 AI in India for WhatsApp, Insta and Facebook; claims to create better digital experience
Meta: Meta has launched Llama-3 AI for WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook in India. Meta has claimed that people will get a better digital experience by using it.
One such feature is the advanced AI assistant with the Llama-3 model, which Meta has now deployed across all social media platforms: WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram.
It has been designed by Meta, keeping in mind Indian users. Meta rolls out the Llama-3 model with the claim of improving user experience across various digital interactions. It was the first demo at the Connect Conference in September 2023. After that, Meta AI was released in some countries like Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. After the successful trial phases in these countries, the AI assistant was finally tested with select users in India in April. In between, the launch of all AI models was stopped due to the Lok Sabha elections. The Meta AI llama-3 model is a chatbot similar to Google's Gemini and Open AI's ChatGPT that assists users in day-to-day activities.
