The injured have been admitted to hospital. Last night, a massive fire broke out in a 7-storey building named Samarth in Azad Nagar, Goregaon, Mumbai. It is being told that the fire broke out in the parking lot of the building between 2:30 and 3 a.m. However, the cause of the fire has not been known yet. The first and second floors of the building were engulfed. Police and the fire department were informed about the fire. As soon as the information was received, senior officials reached the spot. Giving information about this incident, Mumbai Police said that till now out of a total of 46 people injured in the fire, 7 have died and 39 are undergoing treatment in HBT and Cooper Hospital. Details are awaited from other private hospitals where the injured were taken.

BMC issued a statement regarding the accident saying that more than 39 people have been rescued after a level 2 fire broke out in a 5-storey building in Goregaon. Local people say that there was a lot of old cloth kept in the parking lot of the building, which might have caught fire.
It is being told that 4 cars and more than 30 bikes parked in the parking lot of the building have been completely burnt to ashes. The fire could be controlled with the help of more than 10 fire brigade vehicles. Currently, work is being done on cooling. However, the police and fire brigade are investigating the cause of the fire.
