India's largest automaker Maruti Suzuki sells vehicles in numerous categories. Maruti had hiked prices for its cars lately. Along with that, several of its models were also updated. Continuing that series, Maruti's mid-size SUV Grand Vitara's CNG variants have been discontinued (Grand Vitara CNG Discontinued). Now with which engine option is the SUV being sold.

Maruti Suzuki retails Grand Vitara as a mid-size SUV. Maruti updated the prices of the SUV. On 8 April 2025, there was an increase in the price of the SUV by up to Rs 41 thousand. Along with which some of the variants of the SUV have been phased out. These are all variants that are based on CNG. Prior to being phased out, CNG was available in Delta and Zeta variants of the SUV.

The CNG version of the Maruti Grand Vitara also had a 1.5-liter engine. Due to this, the SUV got 88 PS of power and 122 Newton-meter torque. With this engine, the SUV could be driven up to 26.60 km in one kilogram of CNG.

Maruti has not given formal information about discontinuing the CNG variants of Grand Vitara. But according to media reports, it is expected that Maruti has removed the CNG variants due to low demand.

Maruti Grand Vitara SUV is now being offered only with petrol and strong hybrid technology (Grand Vitara petrol and hybrid variants). This SUV is offered with only 1.5 liter petrol and strong hybrid engine. With which manual and automatic transmission options are offered.

After adding new features to Maruti Grand Vitara, its price has also been updated. The SUV can be purchased at an ex-showroom price of Rs 11.42 lakh. The ex-showroom price of its top variant has been kept at Rs 20.68 lakh. A total of 18 variants of the SUV are now being offered.

Grand Vitara SUV is offered by Maruti in the SUV segment larger than four meters. In this segment, it competes directly with SUVs like Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor.
