Now, to multiply the existing sales of Baleno, reportedly, the company is planning to bring its New CNG top model expected to provide more fuel mileage than ever before. Maruti Suzuki has not yet confirmed when it will launch in India. However, some reports have said that in the coming days, the company can bring the new top-spec CNG trim of Baleno to the Indian market.
According to reports, the engine option in the new top-spec CNG trim of Baleno can be used as the existing variant. However, people will get less power output in this trim than the normal petrol model. The recently launched CNG trim has an 1197 cc engine, which comes with manual transmission. This engine generates 76.43bhp of power and 98.5Nm of torque.
Regarding its design, it will feature the same design language as the ongoing model. It will boast the same front fascia with an LED headlamp setup along with integrated DRLS and round-shaped fog lamps. Cruise control, auto-folding ORVMs, auto-dimming IRVM, 360-degree camera, and 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system will be some of the key features in this hatchback.
Currently, the CNG variant of Baleno is only available in two variants, the Delta and Zeta variants. It has an in-line, 4-cylinder, 1.2-litre petrol motor. The engine fitted in this car churns out a maximum power of 88 bhp and a peak torque of 113 Nm. Running this engine in CNG puts out a maximum of 76 bhp power and a peak torque of 98 Nm.
