Will get extended holidays:
There are four holidays in the list of BSE holidays, which will come with extended weekends. Only the first month of the year will come with one such holiday. The stock market will remain closed on 26th January (Friday), due to which the market will not be open for 3 consecutive days.
After this, there will be three such holidays in March, which include Mahashivratri on March 8 (Friday), Holi on March 25 (Monday) and Good Friday on March 29. The market will remain closed on 17th June (Monday) on the occasion of Bakrid.

It has also been revealed in the list that markets will remain closed for two days in April, July and November. Where in April, Eid-ul-Fitr (Ramadan Eid) will fall on the 11th of April (Thursday) and Ram Navami will fall on the 17th of April (Wednesday).
Muharram will be celebrated on 17th July and the market will remain closed on Thursday on the occasion of Independence Day on 15th August. The market will also remain closed on Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti (2 October) Wednesday in October.

The market will remain closed on 1 November on the occasion of Diwali. However, there will be a special Muhurta business on this day, the timing of which will be announced at that time.
Guru Nanak Jayanti will be celebrated on Friday, 15th November, due to which there will be a long holiday. Apart from this, the market will remain closed for the Christmas holiday on 25th December.
Holidays in Commodity Market:
There will be five trading holidays for the commodity derivatives market and the market will remain closed for the entire day, which includes Republic Day, Good Friday, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti and Christmas.
Apart from this, the commodity market will be open for evening sessions during the remaining holidays. The commodity derivatives market will remain closed for the evening session on New Year i.e. January 1.
