Market opened with decline on Monday, Sensex is trading 139 points down and Nifty 35 points down

The stock market opened with a decline on the first day of the trading week. Today Sensex opened at 71,437 points. Till the time of writing the news, Sensex was trading 139 points down at 71,344 points. Nifty was trading at 21,421, falling 35 points.

Bank Nifty is trading at 47,904 after slipping 239 points. However, today in the early trade there is a rise in mid and small caps. BSE Mid Cap is trading at the level of 36,225 with a rise of 20 points. BSE Small Cap is trading at the level of 42,265, up 181 points.

Shares of Sun Pharma, Titan Company, Bajaj Finance, Tech Mahindra, HUL, Bharti Airtel, and Maruti Suzuki have been the top gainers so far.

Whereas shares of JSW Steel, Power Grid Corp, ICICI Bank, ITC, IndusInd Bank, M&M, NTPC, and Axis Bank have been the top losers so far.
