Man robs bank in Tamil Nadu in film style: takes out the gun, starts threatening people, the old man caught
In Tamil Nadu, a man went to rob a bank wearing a burqa in film style, but failed. Its CCTV has come to the fore. The incident is at Canara Bank in the Dharapuram area on Saturday. It is visible on the CCTV that a man in a burqa entered the bank and kept roaming around for some time. After a while, he picked up the gun kept on the table and started threatening the bank employee. Then he went to an old man sitting in the bank and started threatening him too. Suddenly the robber's gun fell and the old man caught it with his towel.
The matter was informed to the police. Police reached the spot and arrested the accused. However, the elderly man was injured after being caught, so he has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Action will be taken after his recovery.
Police said that the accused has been identified as Suresh. He is a student. It is being told that he took the idea of robbery after being inspired by Ajith Kumar's Tamil film Thunivu.
Suresh used a toy gun to threaten. He bought this gun online. Used a switch box wrapped in red tape and affixed a kitchen timer to make a dummy bomb.
