Mamata apologized for the explosion in the illegal factory: said- the accident opened our eyes

On May 16, an illegal firecracker factory exploded in Egra in East Medinipur, West Bengal. 12 people died in this accident and many people were injured. State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee reached Khadikul village 11 days after the accident. He apologized to the people of Egra for the blast in the illegal factory here. He said that the Egra incident has opened our eyes. If the intelligence had worked properly, this accident could have been avoided.
Mamta met the family members of those who died in the accident. He gave him a check for 2.5 lakhs and an appointment letter for a home guard job. At the same time, a check of Rs 1 lakh was also given to the relatives of the injured.
Mamta said, regarding this incident, our government has decided that a report will be prepared in the next two weeks under the leadership of Chief Secretary HK Dwivedi. Under this, a cluster of green crackers will be made.
Mamta said that two family members of the owner of the illegal factory have been arrested. He told the villagers that if they get information about other such illegal firecracker factories, then inform the local police immediately.
Within 7 days there were three blasts in an illegal unit of crackers. The first blast happened in Egra of East Medinipur. 12 people lost their lives in this. After this, on May 21, there was a blast in South 24 Parganas, in which 3 people died. On May 22, there was a blast at the house of a Trinamool Congress leader in Birbhum district. No one was killed in this.
The Leader of the Opposition had demanded the Calcutta High Court hand over the investigation of the accident to the NIA. Which was rejected by the court last week. The court had asked the state CID to continue the investigation.
