Malayalam actor Sreenath Bhasi arrested: Accused of misbehaving with a female journalist, will be released after medical examination
Malayalam actor Sreenath Bhasi has been arrested by the Kerala Police for allegedly misbehaving with a female journalist. In fact, Sreenath abused the anchor of a YouTube channel during the promotion of his upcoming film 'Chattambi', after which that anchor filed a complaint against Sreenath at the police station. Now in this case the police have arrested Sreenath by taking action against him.
According to the police, this whole matter happened when the channel anchor asked Sreenath how many numbers he wanted to give to the actors of Malayalam films according to their rowdy style. On hearing this question, Sreenath got enraged and after turning off the camera, started abusing the female anchors and crew members.
However, during interrogation, Srinath refuted all the allegations against him. Now, along with the raw footage of the video interview in the case, the police have also taken into custody the CCTV footage installed there.
A case was registered against Sreenath last week based on a complaint by the woman anchor. Sreenath has been arrested under sections 354A(1), 509 and 294B of the IPC. Police say that Srinath will be released on bail after medical examination, as it is a bailable offence.
Sreenath started his career in the music industry. Sreenath is a popular actor in Mollywood. He has made his place in the hearts of people by doing comedy in Malayalam films. He is known for films like 'Chappal', 'Home', 'Sumesh' and 'Ramesh'. Till now he has been doing side roles in Malayalam films only. 'Chattambi' is the first film in which he will be seen in the lead role.
