Makers of Prabhas-Kriti's film 'Adipurush' heaved a sigh of relief, the Supreme Court gave a big decision
Adipurush Controversy: Adipurush was in the news even before its release. Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer, directed by Om Raut, created a lot of ruckuses when the first teaser of this film came out. There was a demand to ban the film in several courts including Allahabad. The Supreme Court has now given its verdict on the ongoing hearing on Adipurush.
Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer Adipurush has been in controversy for a long time. A petition was filed in the Allahabad High Court regarding this mythological film directed by Om Raut, where people accused the makers of the film that they had hurt the sentiments of the people with this film.
He also demanded a ban on the film. Now the Supreme Court has taken a big decision on this matter. He has stayed the long-running hearings of various High Courts against the makers of Adipurush. Not only this, the demand for cancellation of the certificate of the Central Board of Certification has also been rejected by the Supreme Court.
News agency ANI recently informed about the Supreme Court's decision on its official Twitter account. He wrote, "The Supreme Court has stayed the proceedings against the producers in different courts. Not only this, but the court has also issued a notice in the appeal filed by the makers of 'Adipurush' against the order of the Allahabad High Court. Has been done, in which the makers were asked to appear in court in July.
Not only this, but the Supreme Court has also dismissed a PIL seeking cancellation of the CBFC certificate by protesting against Prabhas and Kriti Sanon's film 'Adipurush'. Let us tell you that a demand was made not to release Adipurush on the OTT platform.
Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer 'Adipurush' was released in theaters on 16 June 2023. But when the first teaser of this mythological film came out, people started trolling the makers after seeing the VFX. After which the makers took their full time to release the trailer of the film.
When the film was released in theatres, people objected to the dialogue written by Manoj Muntashir and Ravana's look, which also affected the film's earnings. While this film did a business of around 450 crores worldwide, Adipurush could do business of only 288 crores in India.
