Mahindra has launched the Scorpio N Carbon Edition in the Indian market. The company has priced the starting price of the SUV at nearly Rs 19 lakh which goes up to Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom). Only the higher variants of the SUV, the Z8, and the Z8 L variants, will be made available with it. The company has launched the Scorpio N Carbon Edition with the 2-lakh SUV sale milestone.
The company further added that they sold more than 2 lakh units of the Scorpio N in India alone to date. The SUV also has an international sale in a few countries. The Black Edition of the XUV700 has also been sold by Mahindra. Considering the demand of Indian buyers for special edition models, a new Carbon Edition has also been added for the Scorpio N.
The brown and black interior has been replaced with a whole color scheme of black. This includes leatherette treatment and stitching. The interior also features a smoked chrome finish throughout.
The Carbon Edition of the Scorpio N is finished in metallic black. Chrome has now been replaced with smoked chrome, the alloy wheels are finished in black and the roof rails are finished in dark galvano colour.
As expected, Mahindra has not made any mechanical changes to the Scorpio N Carbon Edition. The vehicle is available with a 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine. Each powertrain can be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
The petrol engine outputs over 200 bhp and produces a peak torque of up to 380 Nm. In contrast, the diesel engine produces 173 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque. Mahindra is also offering a four-wheel-drive powertrain with an automatic gearbox with the Carbon Edition.
In the lower variants, the diesel engine is tuned to produce 132 bhp and 300 Nm and is exclusively paired with a manual gearbox.
