As confirmed by the brand earlier, the all-electric BE.05 will be launched in the Indian market in October 2025. The recently captured spy pictures reveal that the front fascia will feature a blanked-off grille, large air intakes, and sleeker-looking LED DRLs connected via a light bar.
The side profile has a sloping roof line, pillar-mounted rear door handles, and squared wheel arches. The BE.05 has a raked windscreen, C-shaped LED tail lamps with turn indicators, a split rear spoiler, and a chunky rear bumper at the back.
Previously released spy photos have shown the Mahindra BE.05. Its features include a twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated 'BE' logo, a floating center console, and a dual-screen arrangement for the instrument panel and touchscreen infotainment display. In addition, it will have newly created grab handles.
Built on Mahindra's latest INGLO platform, the BE.05 electric SUV will be available in 2WD and 4WD powertrain options. The 2WD model uses a rear axle-mounted electric motor sourced from Volkswagen, which produces a maximum power of 286 hp and a peak torque of 535 Nm.
On the other hand, the 4WD variant will use a front-axle mounted motor, which will produce 109 hp of power and 135 Nm of torque. Since this variant will use a dual motor setup, the cumulative system output is not yet known.
The Mahindra BE.05 will get a 79 kWh battery pack with LFP cells, which will charge from 0 to 80 percent in just half an hour. When launched, the BE.05 will be positioned above the XUV400 electric SUV. It will compete with the Tata Curvv EV in the Indian market.
