The aura of Maha Kumbh, the largest gathering of humanity, has spread across the world. People are visiting here from all four directions. So far, more than 10 crore 23 lakh people have come to see the splendor here, and this number is expected to increase further in the coming days.

During the last Kumbh 2019, about five crore 10 lakh devotees had taken a dip till this period. According to this, this time more than double the devotees have come. Two Amrit Snan festivals Mauni Amavasya and Basant Panchami are yet to be celebrated. About eight crore devotees are expected to come to Mauni Amavasya alone.

The bathing of saints, devotees, Kalpvasis, and householders, full of faith and devotion, at the holy confluence of Ganga, Yamuna, and invisible Saraswati has set a new record. As soon as the figures were released at 12 noon on Thursday, the number of bathers crossed 10 crore.

Although more than 50 lakh devotees are reaching the temporary metropolis settled on the sand of the holy Sangam every day, the number increases on Amrit Snan festivals. This number is reaching crores on the bathing festival. The Yogi government estimates that more than 45 crore people are going to come to the Maha Kumbh this time.

In the last Kumbh, about 80 lakh devotees took a dip in the Paush Purnima bathing festival, and about 1.5 crore people took a bath on the Amrit Snan festival Makar Sankranti. This time, a maximum of 3.5 crore devotees took Amrit Snan on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, while more than 1.7 crore people took a holy dip on the bathing festival of Paush Purnima.

There is no lack of enthusiasm among the devotees and bathers in the Tirtharaj. From all over the country and the world, devotees are reaching Prayagraj in lakhs every day to take a dip in the holy Triveni with faith and attain virtue. On Thursday itself, by 12 noon, 30 lakh people took a bath in the Triveni Sangam. This included 10 lakh Kalpvasis as well as devotees and saints from the country and abroad.

There was a continuous flow of devotees in the entire Maha Kumbh Mela area. Devotees from various provinces of the country and many countries of the world took a bath in the holy Sangam. At this time, a glimpse of the diverse cultures of the whole country is being seen on the banks of the Sangam. Rising above high and low, caste, creed, people are taking a bath in the Sangam and realizing the resolution of the Maha Kumbh of unity.

While on one hand crores of people are reaching Sangam for bathing in Maha Kumbh, the normal life of Prayagraj city is going on smoothly as usual. There is no pressure on bathers in urban life. The district police and administration have imposed some restrictions only on the days of major bathing festivals, while on the other days schools, offices, and businesses are going on at their own pace.
