Lazarus Union bestows “Mission Cross of the Lazarus Union- 1st Class” to Dr.Dinesh Sabnis, Commander in Chief & Ambassador of CSLI-India
Dr.Sabnis also holds various appointments such as Addl. Representative in United Nations Geneva Office through IGO WFDP and Secretary General Post in UN Peacekeepers Veterans Association AISP SPIA.
The Corps Saint Lazarus International (CSLI), or simply the Lazarus Union, is an international non-governmental organization that focuses on humanitarian aid and civil protection, whilst following the principles of Saint Lazarus; tolerance, humility, mercy and charity. The Lazarus Union has members in more than 120 countries and has General Consultative Status with the ECOSOC of the United Nations. The Lazarus Union has a multitude of activities, mostly focused on helping those in need, such as the homeless, disabled etc.
On 8th June 2023, Lazarus Union General Plenipotentiary and Union Commander in Chief Oliver Gruber-Lavin Ochoa bestowed Dr.Dinesh Sabnis of India with “Mission Cross of the Lazarus Union- 1st Class” for his sincere and sustainable efforts in the projects related to Humanitarian, Education & Peace.
This honor has been awarded by the Lazarus Union every year to personalities and comrades of Lazarus Union who give outstanding personal commitments for the benefit of the Lazarus Union or for other public institutions and charitable organizations (e.g. Voluntary Fire Brigade, Red Cross, Johanniter, Caritas, Social Welfare Work, UN Peacekeepers and so on).
Past few years Dr.Sabnis efforts are been clearly visible in the areas of Education Diplomacy and collaborations so that sustainable quality education can be implemented and benefited for the students from Asia & Africa. Dr.Sabnis also holds various appointments such as Addl. Representative in United Nations Geneva Office through IGO WFDP and Secretary General Post in UN Peacekeepers Veterans Association AISP SPIA.
Both this organizations have Special & General Consultative Status in UNOG respectively through ECOSOC. Dr.Dinesh Sabnis in past have already been awarded with “Commemorative Peace Medal” by UN Peacekeepers Veteran Organisation- AISP SPIA and “UN NGO Grand Cross” by Lazarus Union for his commendable work for the global society in the field of Education Diplomacy & Peace.
