The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has prematurely sent IAS (1989 batch) Atal Dulloo back to Jammu and Kashmir at the request of the Union Home Ministry. Atal Dulloo, who hails from the minority Kashmiri Pandit community, has served Jammu and Kashmir in various capacities in the past.
He is from the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir cadre, now AGMUT cadre. He is currently the Secretary of the Department of Border Management under the Union Home Ministry. Dulloo was born on October 24, 1966, in the valley and is a senior civil servant belonging to Jammu and Kashmir.
