Killed 11-month-old son due to unemployment
Killed 11-month-old son due to unemployment: even begged; If there was no money to feed, the child was thrown in the canal.
Troubled by financial constraints in Jalore, Rajasthan, a father killed his 11-month-old son by throwing him into the Narmada canal. The accused had done a love marriage 2 years back. Due to a lack of work, the house was not able to meet the expenses. In such a situation, he made a plan to kill the child and came to Rajasthan from Gujarat with his wife and child on the pretext of leaving it with the grandparents.
The incident is from Sanchore, Jalore. After about 24 hours the body of the innocent was found. Police have arrested the accused father. The accused Mukesh (24) is a resident of the Nalodhar village of the Vav police station area of Banaskantha.
ASI Raju Singh of Sanchore police station said that before the murder of his 11-month-old son, on Thursday, Mukesh ate food at Ram Rasoda set up for Ramdevra pilgrims in Siddheshwar (Sanchore) village. Then told the wife, 'The family members are angry because of our love marriage, so I go alone and leave the child with his grandparents.'
According to the police, he stopped the wife there and went 200 meters away and threw the son into the canal. After coming back, he told the wife that he had left the child outside the house. I will tell the family members by phone.
Mukesh told the police that about two years ago he had a love marriage with a girl from Muzaffarpur in Bihar. He was living in Ahmedabad with his wife after marriage. There he worked as a security guard.
He lost his job about 7 months ago. He even begged to run the family. But to no avail. Troubled by financial constraints, he had planned to commit suicide by jumping into the pond of Kankaria (Ahmedabad) with the whole family, but due to the movement of people there, he could not do so.
In Ram Rasode, police friend Kana Ram (43) had seen the husband and wife with the first child, but after a while, they did not have a child. On being suspicious, he informed the Sanchore police. When the police interrogated the accused in custody, he confessed to his crime. He told me that due to unemployment I have nothing to feed the child, so thrown in the canal.
After the confession of the accused, the police recovered the body of the child from the canal at Tetrol, 20 km from Siddheshwar, at around 5 pm on Friday and after a post-mortem, got him cremated with the help of the municipality.
The child's mother told that Mukesh was saying that he is dying of hunger, is roaming on the road, is not feeling well. Went to Ahmedabad 5-6 days ago to die. Then he said - let's not die, leave the child with the parents. Both will work together.
Used to work as a security guard, but the manager kept changing the security guards, so lost the job and was starving. I couldn't even go back to my house. The family members had said that whatever step you have taken, do not come back.
