Kho Kho World Cup 2025: India beat Brazil 64-34, confirmed claim for knockout

The Indian men's team displayed a thrilling display of strategic skills in the Kho Kho World Cup match played on Tuesday night to beat Brazil 64-34. In the match played at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Brazil started aggressively against India, scoring 16 points. Still, the Indian made a brilliant comeback and scored two points during the dream run.

The aggressive second turn of the Indian team ultimately gave the team a whopping 36 points. At a point when one thought that the Indian team moved into the winning phase, Brazil's comeback in the third turn showed the game hanging in the balance again. In the third turn, Brazil pushed India on the back foot, with six touchpoints scored by Mauro Pinto, Joel Rodrigues, and especially Matheus Costa. The team worked hard and finally made a comeback, scoring an impressive 34 points in response to India's 38 points, keeping the last seven minutes of the match extremely thrilling.

The Indian team, led by Aditya Ganpule and captain Pratik Waikar, made an excellent comeback in the fourth turn. Rokesan Singh got four points via skydives while Mehul also gathered two touchpoints to give the host team a spectacular victory on the second day of the Kho-Kho World Cup 2025.

Indian team's Pabari Sabar, who performed brilliantly in the match, was awarded the Best Attacker of the Match and Pratik Waikar was awarded the Best Player award. At the same time, Matheus Costa of Brazil got the Best Defender award
